Wigs are the latest method of choice for celebs wishing to keep their hair looking
Amazing.
From Lace to Halfwigs , Synthetic to Human, Short to Long you've probably seen your favorite celebrity rocking them all. Ciara... Scarlett Johanson... Jessica Biel... Halle Berry... Kim Kardashian (remember her famous "Blonde" look). The list could go on and on.
"Wigs are a great option for celebs because when keeping a crazy schedule like they do, who has time to spend hours in a chair when jumping from one shoot or appearance to the next?!" said celebrity stylist, Ted Gibson . And for the everyday woman he says, "Wigs are in high demand right now because it is an easy way to change your look from one style to another without any commitment."
Celebrities are coming out of the closet about their wig fetish as well and some are even spending more on hair today than Designer clothes, shoes, and handbags! J. Lo, who admittedly has been wearing wigs for years, has a whole room in her Long Island home dedicated to her extensive wig collection so she doesn't have to deal with her very thin, shoulder-length hair. "Jennifer spares no expense when it comes to her looks," an insider source explains... "The wigs allow her to always be experimenting with new styles. She has short, long, and Super-long wigs".
And even though she has an amazing collection worth hiding, (Jen reportedly keeps the door locked and won't even allow husband Marc Anthony in the room), it has nothing on Beyonce's collection, which has been valued at around a million bucks! Some of her wigs are worth $10,000 on their own, which is probably a good investment since this Diva changes her hair daily!
Thankfully for us Beauty-nistas on a budget, an amazing wig collection can be had with wig prices beginning as low as $30.-$70 a style. If you're looking for pieces that have all the bells and whistles expect to pay $100-$800. And for you girls who like to treat yourselves like a Celebrity, expect to dish out top dollar. These pieces can run you $1,000- $10,000 a pop! But, we could all take a charitable cue from B who says she donates wigs from her collection to charity's that provide them to women undergoing chemotherapy.
